Social Media Image Size Guide
Instagram Image Sizes
Instagram supports multiple formats. The square post (1080×1080px) is the most universal. Portrait posts (1080×1350px) take up more feed space. Stories and Reels use vertical (1080×1920px).
Facebook Image Sizes
Facebook posts display best at 1200×630px. Profile photos are 170×170px. Cover photos should be 851×315px. Using correct sizes prevents cropping and pixelation.
YouTube Thumbnail Size
YouTube thumbnails must be 1280×720px (16:9 ratio). This is the most important size for getting clicks on your videos. Channel art should be 2560×1440px.
Why does image size matter for social media?
